IVGID issues “boil water” notice
The Incline Village General Improvement District issued a “boil water” notice on Nov 23, 2022. The streets IVGID listed as being affected are Mercury Court, Apollo Way, Apollo Court, Lunar Court, Wander Way, Saturn Court, Galaxy Way, Jupiter Drive, Bidwell Court, and Jennifer Street from 975 to 996 or the north end of the street.
Common reasons for a boil water notice include loss of pressure in the distribution system, loss of disinfection, and other unexpected water quality problems. These often result from other events such as water line breaks, treatment disruptions, power outages and floods.
IVGID is State Water System ID#: NV0000158 (Nevada Dept of Environmental Protection). Per NDEP, IVGID’s system has one water intake: Burnt Cedar.
