On Tuesday, October 28, a message was distributed bearing all the hallmarks of an internal government communication — complete with verified Outlook headers, valid SPF, DKIM, and DMARC authentication, and the official state domain finance.nv.gov. Once again, the Incline Village General Improvement District has requested an extension for filing its audited financial statements with the Nevada Department of Taxation.  Interim Finance Director submitted the request for a 69 day extension on November 21, 2024.  Since August, every time the question has been put to IVGID on whether staff expected to complete its audit in a timely manner, the answer has been yes. Were IVGID staff really being truthful? For its 2023 fiscal year, IVGID requested three extensions. The sub-committee members are Gina Rackley, Josh Foli, and Jeffrey Share.
